PORTRAIT PRICING

The session fee covers my time and talent during your portrait session, my creative post-processing and retouching of approximately 20 final images and a protected online gallery for viewing and ordering (all print packages, products & digital files are purchased in addition to the session fee. Print Package begin at $100). Approximately 3-4 weeks after your session (5+ weeks for weddings/special events) I will contact you with a link to your gallery. Once you place your print order and payment has been received, the order will be printed, shipped to me for proofing, and then available for you to pickup (or shipped if you are located out of my area). If you choose to purchase the digital files, I will contact you once complete, to arrange a time for you to pickup your USB drive.

Portrait Sessions last approximately 1 hour (Newborn Sessions last 2-4 hours to allow time for safety, care and comfort. Some babies will need to be fed or soothed more often than others, and that is perfectly fine. We will take as many breaks for feedings and cuddling as needed to keep baby happy & asleep. 

All portrait sessions take place either in my home studio (for newborns and babies under 12 months) or on location. Studio sessions are typically scheduled in the evening during the week (Tues-Fri). Outdoor sessions are scheduled weekend evenings, approximately one hour before sunset (often referred to as “Golden Hour”) to allow for the best lighting conditions. Outdoor sessions can also be scheduled EARLY in the morning, if need be.

ALL sessions and products are charged 7% sales tax in addition to the session fee/price, in accordance with state and federal laws.

Please be sure to read over the information below and ask any questions you may have prior to booking your session. Once you are ready to book, please contact me for more information and scheduling. Once we’ve worked out all the details, I will invoice you for the retainer (as well as send other details concerning your session) I also need you to complete an online Portrait Agreement – Select Session & Wedding Portrait Agreement. Once the Portrait Agreement is complete and the Retainer has been paid (retainers must be paid within 48 hours of booking), we are all ready to go. I will also be in contact with you a day or so before the scheduled session to confirm and share any important details. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

All sessions include professional retouching of select images and a protected online gallery.  Your Online Gallery is active for 30 days for viewing/ordering. 

All print packages, products & digital files are available for purchase in addition to session fees.

NO DIGITAL FILES, PRINTS OR PRODUCTS ARE INCLUDED WITH SESSION FEE.

A minimum $30 print package order is required with each session.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH EVERY SESSION 

  • Portrait Agreement filled out & submitted – select Session & Wedding Portrait Agreement
  • A non-refundable retainer (half of the session fee) is due at booking to secure your date on my calendar with the remainder due the day of the session. Due to a very full calendar and limited sessions per month, dates cannot be held without retainer payment within 48 hours of booking.
  • 7% sales tax charged on all sessions
  • Professional retouching of approximately 20 images per session (mini sessions & wedding packages vary).
  • Protected Online Gallery to view and order prints (high quality prints from a professional print lab), Print Packages begin at $30. 
  • ***OPTION TO PURCHASE A USB of the digital files with print release for an additional fee.10 digital files – $25.00 | 20 digital files – $40.00 **You can ADD-ON a USB (10 edited digital files) to ANY Print Package for an additional $10  
  • ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS- Cash, Credit/Debit & Gift-Certificates (from Gary Tyler Photography), I DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS!!!
  • In the event of rain, or bad weather conditions I will be in contact with you, before the session time with backup options or to reschedule.

*****I kindly ask that you do not photograph/video me, my sessions, or your child/baby during my sessions. You will get a sneak peek & online gallery or CD (if purchased) from your session, and you will be so much happier with the quality of my photos, than with a cellphone shot from the session. I really appreciate your understanding and respect on this topic. *****

RETAINERS

(REQUIRED WHEN BOOKING)

A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the session fee is due at booking to secure your session’s date on my calendar with the remainder due the day of the session (with the exception of weddings, which is due 30 days prior). Due to a very full calendar and limited sessions per month, dates cannot be held without payment. Retainer are to be paid within 48 hours of booking your session. If the retainer is not paid within 48 hours your time-slot will be offered to another client. As a reminder, your session is NOT officially booked until I have received a retainer. ALL retainers are Non-Refundable and are charged 7% sales tax. My time is very valuable to me, and other people are waiting for appointments so by cancelling late or not showing up for your session, you are taking someone else’s opportunity for portraits. Please be courteous and only book sessions you plan to attend. In the event of an emergency or exceptional circumstance like your child’s illness, your session will be rescheduled, once, at no additional cost as long as notice is given in a timely manner prior to the session (new date must be within 14 days of original). Due to the fact that I schedule multiple sessions throughout the day, arriving late to your session will result in lost session time. Your session may need to be rescheduled if you arrive more than 15-20 minutes after our scheduled start time, especially “on location” sessions scheduled during Golden Hour, as these sessions ONLY allow for an hour of shooting before it begins to get too dark to photograph. If we need to reschedule based on client tardiness, a new retainer will be required prior to rescheduling the new date. Ultimately it is up to Gary Tyler Photography to make the final decision. Retainers are not transferrable to other sessions or to other clients.
